Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Game Drive

You will start your journey with a scenic drive from Kampala or Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the lush countryside, tea plantations, and crater lakes of western Uganda. Arrive in time for a late lunch and check-in at your lodge with stunning views over the park or nearby crater lakes. After a relaxation break, head out for a romantic game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, where you’ll spot elephants, buffalo, Uganda kob, and possibly lions or leopards and return to your lodge for a candlelit dinner under the stars. Your room will be romantically prepared with turn-down service and a surprise honeymoon treat.

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha Sector

After breakfast, check out and head south toward the Ishasha sector of the park, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions often seen lounging in giant fig trees. Enjoy a game drive through this unique landscape, watching for topi, elephants, and rich birdlife. Ccontinue on a scenic drive through terraced hills and rural villages to reach Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Arrive at your forest lodge in time to relax, enjoy a couple’s massage or soak in the views before dinner. End the day with a private fire-lit dinner in your lodge.

Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today is the highlight of your honeymoon and that is gorilla trekking in Bwindi’s misty forest. After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a safety briefing and group assignment. You’ll then trek with an expert ranger through thick forest terrain in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek may take 1 to 6 hours depending on the group’s location, but the reward is incredible: a full hour spent face-to-face with mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. It’s an emotional, awe-inspiring encounter that few will ever experience made even more meaningful when shared as a couple. Return to the lodge for a hot lunch, a relaxing afternoon, and a special honeymoon toast at sunset with sweeping views of the Virunga Mountains.
