Arrival in Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), where your safari guide will meet you. Transfer to your lodge in Arusha and settle in for a relaxing afternoon. Take time to unwind, enjoy the scenic surroundings, or explore the town at your own pace. In the evening, savor a delicious dinner at the lodge and rest overnight, ready to begin your unforgettable Tanzanian safari adventure the next day.

Tarangire National Park

Your Safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation after breakfast. This morning, you will drive to Tarangire National Park, which is approximately a two-and-a-half-hour journey on good tarmac roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River, the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. Known for its large elephant herds, the park offers great opportunities to observe these magnificent animals congregating by the river. Additionally, you may encounter giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest, with various predators such as lions and leopards often in the vicinity.

Tarangire is also home to the highest diversity of bird species anywhere on the planet. You will find ancient baobab trees throughout the park, some of which are believed to be over a thousand years old. A picnic lunch will be served at a designated site inside the park.

After your game drive, you will transit to your accommodation.

Karatu to Serengeti NP

After breakfast in Karatu, depart for the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands with stunning views along the way. Enter the Serengeti and begin your en route game drive, spotting elephants, giraffes, and big cats across the endless plains. Arrive at your camp by evening for dinner and overnight at Matawi Serengeti Camp, surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Serengeti NP to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and enjoy an en route game drive toward Ngorongoro. Descend into the crater for a spectacular game drive, spotting lions, rhinos, elephants, and hippos in their natural habitat. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor, then ascend to the rim and continue to Karatu. Arrive by evening for dinner and overnight at Farm of Dreams or a similar lodge.
