You’ll be picked up in Arusha after breakfast, and begin a scenic drive (≈2–3 hours) to Tarangire National Park. The park is famous for huge herds of elephants and majestic baobab trees. You’ll enter the park and start your first game drive, spotting giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, lions, and many bird species like lilac-breasted rollers and hornbills. In the late afternoon you’ll make your way to a budget lodge or campsite just outside (or inside) the park. Dinner and overnight.

After early breakfast, depart Tarangire and head toward the Serengeti via the Ngorongoro Highlands. En route, enjoy changing landscapes, occasional wildlife sightings, and spectacular viewpoints over the Rift Valley. You’ll enter the Serengeti and begin afternoon game drives in the central plains, where lions, elephants, buffalo, and leopards roam. Overnight in a budget camp inside or near the park.

This is your full day to explore Serengeti. You’ll go out early to catch predators hunting at dawn, then return for mid-morning time at camp. After lunch, continue exploring different parts of the park — kopjes, riverbanks, open plains — always on the lookout for the Big Five and migratory herds (if in season). Evening return to camp, dinner under the stars.

After breakfast, depart Serengeti toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. At the crater rim, descend (≈600 m down) into the Ngorongoro Crater — one of the world’s densest wildlife habitats per square kilometer. You’ll drive around the crater floor, seeing lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, and many herbivores. Picnic lunch in the crater. Later, ascend to the rim and drive to your lodge or campsite near the rim side. Dinner and overnight.
