Your safari adventure begins with an early morning departure from Arusha, heading southwest towards Tarangire National Park a journey of about two hours. Upon arrival, you'll immediately be greeted by the park's iconic landscape: vast savannahs dotted with ancient baobab trees and winding river systems. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds, especially during the dry season, and you'll likely see them gathered near the Tarangire River along with zebras, wildebeest, and a variety of antelope. Keep your eyes peeled for tree-climbing pythons and the park’s many bird species over 500 recorded here. After a full day of game drives and a picnic lunch under the shade of an acacia, you'll retire to your lodge or tented camp near the park for dinner and a restful night.

Day 2

After breakfast, you'll set off for the legendary Serengeti, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area route. The drive takes about 4–6 hours, but it’s part of the experience, with changing scenery and wildlife to enjoy along the way. As you enter the Serengeti, the landscape opens into the vast plains that inspired the park’s name, meaning "endless plains" in Maasai. You’ll embark on an afternoon game drive across this iconic ecosystem, renowned for its predator-prey interactions. Expect sightings of lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and massive herds of wildebeest and zebra depending on the season. As the sun begins to set over the savannah, you’ll head to your camp for the night ideally located in the heart of the park to fully immerse you in the wild atmosphere of the Serengeti.

Day 3

You’ll wake early for a sunrise game drive the best time to catch predators on the move and witness the bush come alive with golden light. With a full day to explore, you’ll cover different sections of the park, from the central Seronera Valley with its resident big cats to more remote areas where rhinos or elusive leopards might be spotted. Depending on the season, you may also track the Great Migration an awe-inspiring movement of millions of wildebeest and zebras across the plains in search of fresh grazing. A packed lunch allows you to stay out and explore further without returning to camp. In the afternoon, you'll either continue game drives or relax by your lodge or tented camp, taking in the quiet majesty of the landscape before another night under the starlit African sky.

Day 4

Today you’ll visit Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most beautiful natural sights in Africa, a place where you’ll experience otherworldly beauty with extraordinary wildlife. Watch as, from above, morning mist rolls up and over the crater rim, and notice how the steep walls suggest a place unlike any other. Down below on the crater floor, explore a lost world preserved in a state of pristine isolation, one that shelters lions and hyenas, elephants and black rhinos, flamingos and golden jackals. There are also forests, hippo-filled lakes, a salt pan and hyena dens, and you’ll never lose the sense that you’ve stumbled into a safari theme park where everything’s wild.
