Nairobi to Masai Mara

At 8 am, you will be picked up from your hotel within the city centre/Westland area and commence the drive to the Masai Mara via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you will have a breathtaking view of the floor of the Rift Valley. Arrive in the camp in time for lunch. Check in and have lunch. At 4 pm, depart for a sunset game-viewing drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve, where the chances of seeing the big cats are extremely high, ending at 6 pm.

Return to the camp for a sumptuous buffet dinner, ending with a good rest.

Spend the night in Rhino Camp (or a similar camp).

Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara National Reserve

Have breakfast at 6:30 am, then leave for a full-day game viewing in the park at 7 am. On this day, spend the full day exploring the Masai Mara in search of the Big Five, hippos and Nile crocodiles. Thereafter, go for a picnic lunch in the park under a croton tree shade overlooking the vast landscape of the park.

It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savannah – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.
