Gorilla Trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

This day begins with an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for a detailed briefing on gorilla trekking etiquette and safety. Accompanied by experienced rangers and trackers, you embark on an unforgettable trek through Bwindi’s misty rainforest, navigating steep trails, dense vegetation, and rich biodiversity. The hike can take from one to several hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family. Upon locating them, you’ll spend a magical hour observing their behaviour—watching infants play, mothers nurture, and the dominant silverback guard his family. It’s a profound and emotional wildlife encounter found nowhere else on earth.

After your gorilla tracking experience, you will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi, where your lodge will offer one of the breathtaking views of the Lake. On arrival, you will check in and stay overnight.

Transfer back to Entebbe with a Lunch stop at Kayabwe Equator Point

After breakfast, begin your return journey from Bwindi to Entebbe, retracing the scenic route through Uganda’s rolling hills and lush countryside. Along the way, enjoy the changing landscapes, dotted with farmlands and small trading centres that showcase the vibrant rural life. You’ll stop at Kayabwe, the famous Equator point, where the northern and southern hemispheres meet. Here, enjoy a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant. Take a moment to capture memorable photos at the Equator monument and browse nearby craft shops for souvenirs, such as handmade jewellery, wooden carvings, and African fabrics.

After this refreshing stop, continue your drive to Entebbe, arriving in the evening for drop-off at your hotel or airport. This marks the end of your incredible 3-day gorilla trekking and cultural adventure in Uganda.
