After settling into your accommodation, enjoy a relaxed introductory session where the group gathers for introductions and a detailed overview of the itinerary ahead.
During this session, your photographer will guide you through gear preparation, offering expert tips on settings, lenses, and techniques suited for the landscapes and wildlife you’ll encounter.
You’ll also discuss your personal photography goals — whether you’re focusing on landscape composition, wildlife action shots, or storytelling through portraits.

Day 2
Windhoek to Sossusvlei

After breakfast, depart Windhoek and begin your scenic drive to the iconic Namib Desert, one of the oldest and most photogenic deserts on Earth.
Along the way, you’ll pass through dramatic landscapes and small rural towns, with opportunities to stop for spontaneous roadside captures and coffee breaks.
Arrive at your desert lodge in the afternoon and settle in before heading out for an unforgettable evening golden hour shoot. As the sun dips low, the dunes of Sossusvlei come alive in shifting tones of gold and crimson — perfect for experimenting with light, shadow, and texture under your photographer’s guidance.
After dinner, gather under the vast, star-filled sky for an introduction to night photography.
Learn how to set up your camera for long exposures, capture star trails, and use light painting to enhance your compositions.

Afterward, venture into the surreal landscape of Deadvlei, where ancient, sun-scorched camelthorn trees stand in stark contrast against the brilliant white clay pan and deep red dunes — a dream setting for creative compositions and minimalist imagery.
Return to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon rest, followed by a midday Lightroom editing session. Here, your photographer will demonstrate techniques for color correction, contrast control, and workflow organization, helping you bring your desert images to life.

After breakfast, enjoy some downtime at the lodge followed by a midday editing and feedback session. As darkness returns, venture out once more for an evening star trail and Milky Way photography session.

Arrive in Swakopmund by late afternoon and check into your seaside accommodation. Your photographer will provide guidance on shooting through aircraft windows, managing reflections, and composing from altitude.
Option 2: 4x4 Expedition to Sandwich Harbour
