In the morning, take a traditional dhow boat to Prison Island, once a quarantine station and now a sanctuary for giant Aldabra tortoises.
Learn about the island’s layered history and enjoy swimming or snorkeling along its coral-fringed coast.
Return to stone town for an afternoon visit to a spice plantation where you'll see, smell, and taste Zanzibar’s signature crops cloves, cardamom, vanilla, and more.
