Flight and Game Drive at Masai Mara National Reserve

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel or residence by our company concierge, marking the start of your safari. You will be transferred to Wilson Airport for your mid-morning flight, which will fly you to the Masai Mara, arriving at Keekorok Airstrip after about an hour. Soon after, you will be picked up for a game drive enroute to your hotel, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, enjoy a short afternoon siesta before proceeding on your afternoon game drive, in search of the Big Five. Evenings in the Masai Mara offer great wildlife sightings and a chance to spot some of the best African sunsets.

Balloon Ride and Masai Mara Exploration

Today, you will start early and head to the take-off point for your balloon ride. Here, you will enjoy 1 to 2 hours aloft in the great Masai Mara ecosystem, where sunrise greets you above the skies. The ride offers breathtaking views as well as animals on the ground. Upon landing, enjoy a sumptuous champagne breakfast in the bush as you watch animals grazing in the nearby fields. Soon after, you will enjoy more game drives in this vast savannah and head back to your hotel for lunch.

After lunch, you will visit a local Maasai village before returning to the park for more game drives until sunset. Travel between the months of June to September will be highlighted by the great wildebeest migration, where about 2 million wildebeests, in the company of zebra, impala, gazelle, as well as other foragers, cross the Mara River in search of greener pastures, while predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, and crocodiles follow closely or lie in wait to have a feast.

Fly Back to Nairobi

You will start off the day with breakfast at your lodge. Soon after, check out and proceed with an en-route game drive to the airstrip, where you will see more animals on the way. You will then board your flight and arrive in Nairobi after about an hour. Our driver and concierge will be waiting for you to transfer you back to your Nairobi hotel or residence for your onward plans.
