Arrival

Start your day with a morning pick-up from your Arusha hotel and journey to the stunning Ndutu region. The scenic 5.5-hour drive (around 260 km) takes you through lush forests and vast green plains of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

On arrival, enjoy a half-day game drive and a tranquil picnic lunch surrounded by nature. Ndutu’s open grasslands merge with the Serengeti, forming part of the legendary Great Migration route, where wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and antelope roam freely.

Ndutu is famed for its rich predator life, home to all six big cat species: lions, leopards, cheetahs, servals, caracals, and wildcats. Watching these majestic animals in the wild is an unforgettable experience.

Ngorongoro crater

After enjoying breakfast, you’ll head out towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, carrying a packed lunch. The Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, spans 14 kilometers of breathtaking scenery. Enclosed by ancient volcanic peaks, the crater floor—scattered with water sources—hosts around 30,000 wild animals. You’ll spend about five hours on a game drive inside the crater, where wildlife viewing is exceptional. Be sure to have your camera ready. Elephants, buffalos, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions are frequently seen. After enjoying lunch near the scenic Hippo Pool, you’ll begin the steep drive up and out of the crater. This marks the final part of your safari, with a remaining four-hour journey back to Arusha. You'll be dropped off at your chosen location in the city.
