Embark on an unforgettable safari adventure as you depart from Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport at 07:00 am in a comfortable shared minivan transfer. Journey through the scenic Highveld and Lowveld regions of Mpumalanga, arriving at Ivory Moon Lodge at approximately 14:00. After a refreshing break, your adventure begins with an afternoon sunset game drive in the Greater Kruger’s Blue Canyon Reserve, exploring the wilderness in an open safari vehicle.

Keep your eyes peeled for Africa’s iconic Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—along with other remarkable wildlife such as giraffe, zebra, and hippo. As the sun sets over the savannah, enjoy sundowners in the bush before returning to the lodge for a delicious dinner and fireside storytelling beneath a starlit African sky.

Guided open vehicle safari drive in the Kruger National Park

Following an early wake-up call, there will be time for tea or coffee and rusks before departing for a full day open vehicle safari drive from approximately 06:00 to 15:30.
Brunch is included along your route, and your guide will also stop for you to purchase refreshments further during the day.

Spend approximately 7 to 8 hours on a safari in Kruger, exploring the Orpen-Satara area for a heightened chance of encountering lions. Return to the Lodge, where you can unwind before a starlit dinner by the fire.

Guided Panorama Route Tour

Breakfast is served at the Lodge before departing on a full tour of the Panorama Route, home to the 3rd Largest canyon in the world and the largest vegetated canyon in the work. The 8 hour tour takes you to sites such as, Gods Window, Bourkes Luck Potholes, the Blyde River Canyon, 3 Rondavals, 1 of the numerous waterfalls along the route, Graskop and Pilgrams rest.

Lunch is on your own account at one of the many stops along route.

Your Kruger Safari Co experience will last 7 to 8 hours, allowing you to return to the camp with plenty of time to relax by the fire before dinner. Dinner under the stars (with a complementary glass of wine) awaits every night, providing a perfect setting to share your experiences with others and make new friends.

Alternatively - Swop the Panorama Route with another full day safari drive in the national park at no extra cost - needs to be booked in advance.

Guided safari drive in the Kruger National Park

Today marks a return to the enchanting sights and sounds of the bush. You will rise early to be ready at 05:30 (when predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas are most active) for a full-day safari into Kruger National Park with The Kruger Safari Co.

Your Kruger Park safari will last 7 to 8 hours, so you should be back at the camp with enough time to relax before dinner by the fire. You will repeat this for the following two days, aiming to check off more creatures from your bucket list and explore new landscapes and habitats. You will have dinner under the stars at night, sharing your experiences with others and making new friends.

Optional Morning Safari drive and return to Johannesburg

Spend the final morning at the Lodge or opt for a three-hour sunrise drive (additional cost of R1250 per person sharing) in the Blue Canyon within Greater Kruger. After breakfast, bid farewell and embark on your return journey to Johannesburg.
