In the afternoon, you will embark on a game drive that introduces you to this beautiful park, which is home to the renowned "Samburu Special Five," a group of scarce species that includes the Beisa oryx, Grevy's zebra, gerenuk, blue-necked Somali ostrich, and reticulated giraffe. You will leave Samburu National Reserve after breakfast and head out for a 3-hour drive to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a safe haven for the endangered rhinos that are hunted for their horns. The Jane Goodall Institute runs an extraordinary chimpanzee sanctuary where you can encounter the primates up close. As you explore this expansive private sanctuary, where you are sure of finding the Big Five, we will stop at the SweetWaters Lodge for our lunch and also get an opportunity to see the animals visit the watering hole in front of the lodge. This experience embodies the Africa that Teddy Roosevelt witnessed years ago during one of the first safaris to explore the continent in luxury and elegance.

We will then drive to the stylish Kongoni Camp for check-in and our evening meals and relaxation as we reflect on such an adventurous day.
