Your game drive will take you through the forested entrance, where troops of baboons and blue monkeys are often seen. As you continue, keep an eye out for elephants moving gracefully through the woodland, giraffes browsing on acacia trees, and the park’s most famous residents—the elusive tree‑climbing lions. The lake itself is a haven for bird enthusiasts, with flocks of flamingos, pelicans, storks, and over 400 other bird species recorded here.
