Arrival In Windhoek

Arrive in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. Upon arrival, you will complete the vehicle hand-over process and collect your rental or overland vehicle, which will be your means of transport throughout the adventure. After that, you will check into your accommodation for an overnight stay, giving you time to rest and prepare for the journey ahead. If you feel up to it, you can spend some time exploring local restaurants, shops, or cultural sites to get a glimpse of Namibian life and culture before your adventure truly begins.

Damaraland

Drive to Damaraland, passing through some of Namibia’s most breathtaking desert landscapes along the way. This scenic journey offers striking views of wide open plains, rugged mountains, and unique geological formations. In the afternoon, you’ll visit Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient rock engravings. These remarkable petroglyphs, created by early San hunter-gatherers, provide a fascinating glimpse into Namibia’s prehistoric past. Today you will head out for a full day of wildlife viewing in Etosha National Park, one of Africa’s premier safari destinations. As you explore the park’s vast salt pan, waterholes, and open plains, you’ll enjoy the beauty and diversity of Etosha’s unique ecosystem. Enjoy another day in Etosha National Park, beginning with a relaxed morning game drive to discover more of the park’s incredible wildlife. With luck, you might spot some of the animals you may have missed the day before, such as elusive leopards or large herds of elephants. After the morning drive, you’ll return to the lodge for a leisurely afternoon—perfect for unwinding by the pool, enjoying a quiet lunch, or simply taking in the views of the surrounding bush. In the late afternoon, you have the option to head out again for a shorter game drive, or continue relaxing as the sun sets over the savannah.
