Exploration of Awash National Park

Depart from Addis Ababa in the morning and drive toward Awash National Park, located about 225 km east of the capital. The park is set along the Awash River, framed by volcanic hills, acacia woodlands, and grasslands. Upon arrival, check into your camp and prepare for your first safari adventure. Full-Day Wildlife Safari in Awash National Park

After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day wildlife safari across different habitats of the park. Travel along the park’s plains, river valleys, and volcanic ridges in search of larger predators like lion, leopard, and hyena, as well as abundant antelope species. Visit Awash Falls, a spectacular cascade on the Awash River, and take in the panoramic views of the surrounding cliffs and forests. The day offers numerous opportunities for photography, birdwatching, and nature observation. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your afternoon safari. Return to Addis Ababa
