Depart from Addis Ababa in the morning and drive toward Awash National Park, located about 225 km east of the capital. The park is set along the Awash River, framed by volcanic hills, acacia woodlands, and grasslands. Upon arrival, check into your camp and prepare for your first safari adventure. Spend the afternoon on a guided game drive, where you may encounter wildlife such as African buffalo, baboons, warthogs, oryx, and gazelles, and enjoy birdwatching along the riverbanks.
