2-Day Zanzibar Fly in Safari to Serengeti & Ngorongoro

Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park

You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Zanzibar at around 6:00 a.m. (depending on location) and transferred to the airport for your 8:00 a.m. flight to Serengeti National Park. After a scenic flight of about two hours, you’ll land at Seronera Airstrip around 11:00 a.m., where your safari guide will meet you in a 4x4 safari jeep.

Begin your first game drive through the vast Serengeti plains, home to elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, and large herds of wildebeest and zebra. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive, exploring the Seronera Valley and its abundant wildlife.

In the evening, proceed to your tented camp or lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Ngorongoro Crater and back to Zanzibar

After an early breakfast, depart the Serengeti and enjoy a scenic drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, take in the breathtaking landscapes and spot wildlife such as giraffes, elephants, and possibly lions or leopards roaming the plains.

Upon arrival at the crater rim, descend about 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater’s lush floor is teeming with animals, offering a chance to spot the Big Five, along with zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, and colourful birdlife around Lake Magadi.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the crater while surrounded by the incredible natural beauty and wildlife views. After lunch, continue exploring the crater’s before ascending back to the rim in the late afternoon. You’ll then drive to the airport for your evening flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, a driver will be waiting to transfer you by taxi to your hotel, bringing your 2-day safari to a perfect close.
