Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park via Arusha Airport

Your adventure begins early in the morning with a pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar (Depending on Location), for your transfer to Zanzibar Airport.

Board a morning flight to Arusha, where you’ll be met by your professional safari guide upon arrival. After a short briefing, begin your journey to Tarangire National Park, a scenic drive of about two hours. Tarangire is famous for its majestic baobab trees, large elephant herds, and the Tarangire River, which attracts countless animals, especially during the dry season.

Enjoy a game drive through the park’s open savannahs, woodlands, and riverbanks while spotting giraffes, zebras, lions, leopards, and many antelopes. Around midday, you’ll have a picnic lunch at one of the park’s scenic sites before continuing your exploration in the afternoon.

Later, exit the park and drive to Karatu or near Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and an overnight stay in a comfortable lodge surrounded by beautiful highland landscapes.

Ngorongoro Crater back to Zanzibar

After an early breakfast, depart your lodge and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descending over 600 meters into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. Often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” this vast caldera shelters one of the most concentrated wildlife populations on earth.

Enjoy a morning game drive across the crater floor, where you may encounter the Big Five — lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and the rare black rhino — along with hippos, zebras, wildebeests, and abundant birdlife around the lake. Stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot while admiring the breathtaking views of the crater walls.

After lunch, continue with your final game viewing as you ascend from the crater in the afternoon. You’ll then drive to the Arusha for your flight back to Zanzibar, where a driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel, marking the end of an unforgettable two-day Tanzanian safari.
