Begin your journey with a scenic flight from Addis Ababa to Jinka. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and driven to Karo Village, known for its stunning body paintings and picturesque location near the Omo River, nestled among the lush southern highlands of Ethiopia.
On the outskirts of Jinka, immerse yourself in the daily life of the Karo people. After this cultural experience, travel to the nearby Hamar Tribe, celebrated for their hospitality and elaborate hairstyles. With some luck, you may witness the unique bull-jumping ceremony, a traditional rite of passage for Hamar boys, which often occurs on market days.

Day 2
Omorate – Dassenech Tribe – Konso
Omorate – Dassenech Tribe – Konso
Today, head to Omorate, located on the banks of the Omo River. Cross the river to visit the Dassenech Tribe, known for their semi-nomadic lifestyle. After your visit, return to Turmi for lunch before driving to Konso.
On your way, stop at Keyafer to visit members of the Mursi Tribe. Although visiting the Mursi village is currently restricted due to tribal conflicts, some tribe members reside in Keyafer. The Mursi are famous for their distinctive lip plates and body decorations. If time allows, explore the Konso Cultural Landscapes; otherwise, you can visit them the following day before continuing your drive to Arbaminch.

Day 3

Enjoy a scenic drive to Arba Minch, with a stop to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Konso Village, known for its intricate terracing and wooden totems. Next, drive about 88 km to Lake Chamo, one of the largest lakes in Ethiopia, where you can see giant Nile crocodiles, various bird species, and beautiful vegetation.
After lunch in the town of Arba Minch, drive 20 km to Dorze Village, located in the Chencha mountains. Discover their vibrant culture, including hand weaving, bread-making from false banana trees, and the famous bamboo houses shaped like elephants.

Day 4

After breakfast, start your walk to Nechisar National Park, one of Ethiopia’s national parks. Walk through the jungle and observe animals such as olive baboons, vervet monkeys, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. This peaceful area is perfect for relaxation, and you may even get the chance to swim in natural springs.
Depending on the time taken for activities, enjoy lunch and then transfer back to the airport around midday for your flight back to Addis Ababa.
