Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide from Jerodi Africa Safari. After a brief introduction, you’ll take a comfortable transfer to Arusha, the gateway city to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. The drive offers beautiful views of rural landscapes and, on a clear day, the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.

Check in at your midrange lodge, where you can unwind after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax by the pool, stroll through the lush gardens, or explore Arusha town’s craft markets and cafes (optional for an extra cost). Day 2

After an early breakfast at your lodge, you’ll depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, a scenic two-and-a-half-hour drive through the rolling countryside, Maasai villages, and open savannah. Upon entering the park, you’ll be greeted by the striking landscape of ancient baobab trees, golden grasslands, and the winding Tarangire River, which serves as a vital water source for wildlife.

Spend the day on an exciting game drive in search of Tarangire’s incredible variety of animals. The park is home to one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, and you may see massive herds gathered near the river. Other sightings may include giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as over 500 species of birds, making it a paradise for bird lovers.

You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic spot inside the park, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wild. Later in the afternoon, continue your drive as the setting sun paints the plains in warm colors.
