3-Day Zanzibar & Mikumi Wild Safari to Beach Escape

Zanzibar to Mikumi

Your adventure starts with a pre-dawn pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transfer to the ferry terminal. You will board a fast ferry, which typically departs around 7:00 am and arrives in Dar es Salaam about 90 minutes later.

Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, a driver will meet you and take you to the city's modern SGR train station.

At the Morogoro SGR station, your safari guide will be waiting in a 4x4 vehicle. From here, it's roughly a 1.5-hour drive to the entrance of Mikumi National Park.
After settling into your lodge and having lunch, you'll set off for an afternoon game drive. This is an excellent time to witness wildlife activities as animals emerge to graze and hunt in the cooler parts of the day.

Masai Cuture And Return To Zanzibar

Final morning offers a shift in pace to immerse yourself in the rich culture of the local Maasai people. Instead of a last game drive, you will visit a nearby Maasai village for an authentic cultural experience. A village elder will welcome you and offer a glimpse into their traditional way of life, including their customs, traditions, and distinct way of dress. You might witness a traditional dance or learn about the intricate craftsmanship of their famous beaded jewelry. This unique and enriching encounter provides a deeper understanding of the vibrant human culture that coexists with the wilderness.

Following your cultural exchange, you will begin the journey back to Zanzibar, reversing your path with a comfortable SGR train ride to Dar es Salaam and a final ferry trip back to the island, where you can reflect on your unforgettable adventure.
