In the morning, your safari guide will pick you up from your lodge or the airport in Arusha and drive you to Tarangire National Park. The drive goes through beautiful Maasai plains with acacia trees, where you might see Maasai people walking, cycling, or herding their cattle.

When you arrive at Tarangire, known for its large elephant herds, you will explore the park’s open savannah, seasonal swamps, and the Tarangire River, which attracts many animals. From the open roof of your safari vehicle, you can spot zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, giraffes, and elephants. If you are lucky, you may also see lions or leopards resting in the trees.
