Day 1

04:00 AM – Pick up from your hotel or airport in Dar es Salaam by your professional safari vehicle and guide.

Stop for breakfast at Msolwa Restaurant before continuing the journey to Mikumi National Park, passing scenic villages, farmlands, and rolling hills.

Upon arrival at the park, enjoy a full-day game drive across the Mkata Floodplain, home to elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and many antelope species.

Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic site inside the park. Continue your afternoon game drive, visiting the hippo pool and capturing the beautiful sunset over the savannah.

In the evening, check in at Tanapa Mikumi Cottages for dinner and overnight stay in a comfortable, nature-filled setting.

After an early morning breakfast at the cottage, depart for a half-day morning game drive, when wildlife is most active.

Watch elephants at waterholes, lions on the prowl, and graceful giraffes grazing. You may also spot buffaloes, wildebeests, impalas, and vibrant birdlife throughout the park.

Return to the park restaurant for lunch before exiting Mikumi National Park. Begin the journey back to Dar es Salaam, with drop-off at your hotel or airport around 07:00 – 08:00 PM, concluding an affordable and unforgettable 2-day safari adventure.
