On your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by Terenga Safaris' company driver guide who will brief you and transfer you to your hotel for relaxation. Day 2

Transfer to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Transfer to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Early in the morning, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and provide a briefing before setting off to Murchison Falls, located in northern Uganda. Along the way, you'll stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola, where rhinos are being reintroduced into the wild. This visit will complete your experience of the African Big Five, as rhinos are the only missing species in Murchison Falls National Park. You’ll enjoy a guided walking trek around the sanctuary, followed by lunch and some time to relax. Afterwards, you’ll continue your scenic road trip to Murchison Falls, arriving in the evening. After checking into your lodge, your safari guide will take you on an exciting game drive in search of nocturnal and night-active animals such as lions, hyenas, and leopards. Following the drive, you’ll return to the lodge to relax and enjoy dinner.

Day 3

Morning Game Drive- Boat Cruise and Hike to the Top of the Falls

After enjoying an early morning tea or coffee, you’ll head out for a game drive on the northern bank in search of wildlife such as lions, giraffes, oribis, elephants, Jackson’s hartebeests, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, and a variety of bird species. You will then return to the lodge in time for lunch and some relaxation before an exciting afternoon activity. After lunch, embark on a three-hour boat ride along the Nile River to the base of the falls, where you’ll have the chance to spot animals like crocodiles and hippos in the water, as well as buffaloes, waterbucks, and elephants grazing and drinking along the riverbank. Next, you’ll hike to the top of the falls for a breathtaking view. Afterwards, return to your lodge for a peaceful evening, dinner, and overnight stay.

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park- The Primates' Capital

After a healthy breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale Forest National Park, the capital world of primates such as chimpanzees, baboons, and monkeys, with en-route lunch meals. Upon arrival, you will check-in at your lodge for relaxation. Later in the day, you shall transfer to the Bigodi Wetlands, situated on the eastern edge of the forest. You shall have a light walk in the wetlands to observe plenty of wildlife including birds and many monkey species. You will retire for the day at lodge.

Kibale National Park is known as the primate capital of East Africa. Chimpanzee trekking here is a rewarding adventure that leads you deep into the tropical forest, crossing sparkling streams along the way. During the trek, you may spot red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, colorful butterflies, and hear birds calling from the treetops. With the guidance of your expert guide, you’ll track down the chimpanzees, capturing memorable photos as you watch them play and feed. In the afternoon, time permitting, you’ll visit Bigodi Village and Wetland, renowned for its rich variety of birds and primates. By joining this tour, you also support the local community, as proceeds go toward building schools and providing small loans to residents.

Upon arrival in the park, we’ll embark on a short game drive before heading to the lodge for lunch. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at the lodge.

You’ll travel through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park en route to Bwindi, an area famous for its tree-climbing lions. In Ishasha, you’ll embark on an exciting drive across the vast savannah, spotting topis, African elephants, and, with some luck, lions perched high in the fig trees. After enjoying lunch in Ishasha, you’ll continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the way, you’ll witness a dramatic change in scenery—from flat savannah and cultivated hills to dense jungle-covered mountains. Upon arrival in Bwindi, you’ll take part in a cultural tour of the Batwa forest pygmy community, experiencing their traditional lifestyle and captivating dance performances. After breakfast and a briefing from the park ranger guides, you’ll set off with picnic lunch boxes to begin your trekking adventure. The trek can last up to four hours or more, as you navigate slippery slopes and dense, mist-covered vegetation in search of the elusive mountain gorillas. Because of the duration and intensity of the hike, a packed lunch is provided. This rewarding journey will lead you to an unforgettable encounter with one of the world’s most treasured creatures—the mountain gorillas. Once you find them, you’ll spend a full hour observing their behavior and capturing photos. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at the lodge.

After having an early breakfast, go for a morning horse back ride in Lake Mburo National Park. This park is famous for zebras, impalas, giraffes, elands, Cape buffalos, and many tropical bird species. Afterwards, check out of the hotel and transfer to Entebbe International Airport to readily catch your travel back home in the evening as you say farewell to the pearl of Africa!
