Today you’ll descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called the “Garden of Eden.” The crater floor is home to a dense population of wildlife, including lions, elephants, hippos, zebras, and—if you’re lucky—the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by this spectacular scenery before driving back to Arusha in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for your short flight to the paradise island of Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your beach hotel in Nungwi, on the island’s northern coast. Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the ocean, watching the sunset, and soaking in the laid-back island atmosphere.
