Day 1

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning departure from Arusha after breakfast, heading south to Tarangire National Park, a scenic drive of about two to three hours. Tarangire is famous for its majestic baobab trees, sweeping savannahs, and large elephant herds that roam along the Tarangire River. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a full-day game drive exploring the park’s rich wildlife, including lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, and an impressive variety of bird species. Lunch will be served picnic-style inside the park, allowing you to relax amidst the sounds of the wilderness. As the sun sets, drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Eileen's Trees Inn Lodge.

Day 2

Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will depart Tarangire and drive northwest through the scenic highlands and farmlands of Karatu before entering the world-famous Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive takes approximately four to five hours, with game viewing opportunities along the way. Upon entering the Serengeti, you will begin your game drive across the vast plains, home to incredible wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, elephants, and large herds of wildebeests and zebras. You will arrive at your camp in the late afternoon for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the wild. Overnight at Into Wild Africa Tented Camp.

Rise early for a sunrise game drive in the Serengeti when wildlife activity is at its peak. You may witness predators on the hunt or grazing herds bathed in the soft morning light. After brunch at the camp, begin your journey back toward Ngorongoro, with en route game viewing as you exit the Serengeti. Upon arrival, you will descend into the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater — often called “Africa’s Garden of Eden” — for an afternoon game drive. The crater floor hosts a rich concentration of wildlife, including elephants, hippos, lions, and the endangered black rhino. Later, ascend from the crater and drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Trees Inn.

After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy a relaxed drive back to Arusha with scenic views of the Great Rift Valley along the way. Depending on your schedule, you may stop for shopping at a local Maasai market or visit a cultural center for souvenirs. You will arrive in Arusha by midday or early afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable 4-day Northern Tanzania safari.
