After picking you up from your Nairobi hotel or airport in the morning, your driver-guide will give you an overview of your safari. As you travel north across the equator, you'll pass through dynamic communities and shifting landscapes. Make sure you get to Samburu National Reserve in time to have a substantial lunch at Samburu Sopa Lodge. Take a little break before going on an afternoon game drive over the untamed landscape of the reserve. Watch for the endangered Samburu Special Five—Beisa oryx, Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and Somali ostrich—as well as elephants, lions, leopards, and more. After dinner, head back to the lodge for a restful night's sleep while listening to the peaceful sounds of the African countryside.

Before embarking on a full-day game drive in Samburu National Reserve, get an early breakfast at Samburu Sopa Lodge. Explore the park's breathtaking acacia-dotted plains, riverine woods, and rocky slopes during the day. You can follow lions, cheetahs, elephants, and rare animals that are only found in northern Kenya, like the Grevy's zebra and gerenuk, with the assistance of your guide. Stop at the Ewaso Nyiro River, where animals frequently congregate to drink, and have a picnic. Continue your journey in the afternoon, exploring various parts of the reserve in search of fresh sights and picturesque vistas. Return to Samburu Sopa Lodge for dinner, leisure, and another tranquil night in the wilderness as the sun sets.
