Day 1

Nairobi - Lake Naivasha

You'll depart Nairobi in the morning for a drive along the Great Rift Valley escarpment, headed to the Rift Valley town of Naivasha. You'll make a brief stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint to take some photos and enjoy the panorama of the valley below with its dramatic escarpments and the towering Mount Longonot in the distance. You'll continue your journey towards Lake Naivasha and stop for a hearty breakfast at Kifaru Ark, a cozy spot offering beautiful countryside views. After breakfast, you'll proceed on to Lake Naivasha for a relaxing boat ride across its calm waters, where you can spot hippos, fish eagles, and a variety of birdlife along the shoreline. You'll disembark mid-lake at Crescent Island for a guided walking tour among freely roaming wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, and antelopes, surrounded by the lake. Later on, you'll check in at Hotel Chambai for lunch and leisure, enjoying the serene setting and hospitality that make Naivasha a perfect getaway from the city.

Day 2

Naivasha - Nairobi

You'll wake up for breakfast at your hotel as you take in the Naivasha morning air before setting out for a day of adventure. You'll begin with a visit to Hell’s Gate National Park, a spectacular landscape of towering cliffs, volcanic towers, and geothermal features. You'll explore the park on foot or by bike, passing zebras, gazelles, and giraffes against a backdrop of rugged rock formations and open plains. After the morning adventure, you'll break for lunch at a nearby lodge or restaurant surrounded by the park’s beauty.

In the afternoon, you'll proceed to Elsamere Conservation Centre, which is a former home of Joy Adamson, the author of Born Free. You'll explore the museum dedicated to her life’s work in wildlife conservation. Then, you'll unwind with afternoon tea or coffee by the lakeside as colobus monkeys play in the trees above. Later, you'll begin your journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the evening after two days of exploration, game sightings, and relaxation in Naivasha.
