After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, a scenic 2–3-hour drive. On entering the park, enjoy your first game drive across vast plains dotted with majestic baobab trees. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, diverse birdlife, and resident predators including lions and leopards.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game viewing along the Tarangire River, where wildlife gathers to drink. After an early breakfast, depart Tarangire and begin your journey toward the legendary Serengeti National Park, passing through the picturesque highlands and the rim of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy scenic views and optional stops for photos or a picnic lunch on route (optional).

By afternoon, you’ll arrive at the Serengeti, where vast golden plains stretch endlessly before you. Enjoy a short game drive as you make your way to your lodge, spotting wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, elephants, and possibly the first glimpse of big cats.

After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and enjoy a leisurely game drive en route to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, one of Africa’s most beautiful and ecologically rich regions. Along the way, the landscape transforms from open plains to lush highlands, offering stunning views and excellent photo opportunities

Stop to visit a traditional Maasai village within the conservation area, where you’ll experience the indigenous culture of the Maasai people, learn about their customs, traditional homes, and deep connection to the land and wildlife. Experience a picnic lunch with the Maasai, you may also visit the Olduvai Gorge Museum (optional), one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world

Continue to your lodge, perched on the rim of the crater, arriving by late afternoon. Relax with sweeping views over the crater floor as the sun sets, followed by a warm dinner and evening at leisure.

Spend the morning exploring the crater floor, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” home to elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and—if you’re lucky—the elusive black rhino.
