After breakfast, your Zungu travel guide will collect you from your accommodation for the drive to Tarangire National Park, approximately 2½ hours on well-maintained tarmac roads. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, which can often be seen near the river, as well as giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. Predators such as lions and leopards follow these herds, creating thrilling wildlife encounters. The park is also home to more breeding bird species than any other park in Tanzania and features iconic, ancient baobab trees, some over a thousand years old.
