Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), our representative will warmly greet you and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha.
Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at the lodge, enjoy the lush gardens, or explore the vibrant town of Arusha – the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.
This city sits at the foot of Mount Meru and offers a wonderful introduction to Tanzanian culture before you begin your safari adventure the following day.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your Zungu travel guide will collect you from your accommodation for the drive to Tarangire National Park, approximately 2½ hours on well-maintained tarmac roads. Named after the Tarangire River, often called the “river of warthogs,” this park provides a vital water source for wildlife during the dry season.

Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, which can often be seen near the river, as well as giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. Predators such as lions and leopards follow these herds, creating thrilling wildlife encounters. The park is also home to more breeding bird species than any other park in Tanzania and features iconic, ancient baobab trees, some over a thousand years old.

Lunch will be enjoyed at a designated picnic site within the park. After an exciting game drive, you will continue to your campsite near Karatu for the evening.

Day 3

Karatu to Serengeti National Park

Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will drive through the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with an opportunity to stop and admire the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. From there, continue through the conservation area and enter the Serengeti National Park from the southern gate.

The Serengeti is world-famous for its vast open grasslands, offering exceptional wildlife viewing. While it is home to abundant wildlife year-round, it is particularly renowned for the annual Great Migration, when vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes move in search of fresh grazing. Depending on the season, you may witness one of the "Seven Wonders of the Natural World."

Enjoy a picnic lunch during the day before arriving at your bush campsite, where you will spend the night immersed in the heart of the Serengeti wilderness.

Day 4

Wake up early to enjoy a full day of game drives in the Serengeti, exploring its endless plains and spotting a wide variety of wildlife. Today provides excellent opportunities to see lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffalo, zebras, and wildebeest in their natural habitat.

Depending on the season, you may witness spectacular sightings of the Great Migration, as massive herds move through the park in search of fresh grazing. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your afternoon safari. Return to your bush campsite in the evening for dinner under the stars.

Day 5

After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On the way, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti, maximizing your wildlife viewing opportunities.

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater in the afternoon, one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world. The crater is home to a high concentration of wildlife, including elephants, lions, zebras, wildebeest, and rhinos. Picnic lunch is served in a designated area inside the crater before transferring to your campsite near Karatu for the evening.

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

After breakfast at your campsite near Karatu, depart for a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. This park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, large flocks of flamingos, and diverse wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, baboons, and hippos. Enjoy the stunning scenery along the lake shores and the rift valley escarpments.

After your game drive, continue the journey back to Arusha, arriving in the afternoon. Depending on your departure schedule, you may have time for shopping or a brief city tour. Your safari concludes with a transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight, taking with you unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s iconic wildlife and landscapes.
