Nairobi

Nairobi features a variety of activities close to your accommodations. Nearby, you will find the elephant orphanage run by the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the Giraffe Centre managed by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife, and the Karen Blixen Museum, which celebrates the life of the Danish colonial-era writer who once lived here. There are also a number of interesting craft shops and workshops to explore. Between these attractions and the airport lies Nairobi National Park, home to more than 80 species of large mammals—including the “Big Five,” except elephants—offering a surprisingly authentic, if slightly surreal, safari experience within earshot of downtown Nairobi’s traffic.

Your time in Nairobi is completely flexible. We will take you wherever you wish to go, and your guide will accompany you throughout the day. You don’t have to decide what you’d like to see or do until you arrive. All transport and entrance fees are included in the cost of your journey.
