Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at your accommodation in Arusha, you’ll meet your professional driver-guide for a short safari briefing before setting off for Tarangire National Park. The park stretches along the Tarangire River and features gently rolling hills set against the dramatic backdrop of the Great Rift Valley. Its landscape is characterized by acacia woodlands, towering baobab trees, and expansive seasonal swamps to the south.

During the dry season, both the river and the swamps serve as vital water sources, attracting a remarkable concentration of wildlife. Tarangire is renowned for hosting some of the largest elephant herds in Africa and is also home to several rare species, including the greater kudu, fringed-eared oryx, and ashy starling.

Enjoy a picnic lunch within the park before continuing your game drive into the late afternoon, soaking in the park’s stunning scenery and diverse wildlife. In the evening, you’ll drive to Karatu Safari Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park

Here, you can expect to encounter herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and even the impressive African elephant.

The crater is also famous for its dense population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, often requiring a sharp eye—or a bit of luck—to spot. Each year, massive herds of wildebeest and zebra cross its sweeping plains during their great migration.

This unique area is also a place where wildlife and the semi-nomadic Maasai people coexist, as Maasai herders graze their cattle alongside the wild animals. Nearby lies the historic Olduvai Gorge, where ancient hominin fossils have been discovered, offering a fascinating glimpse into early human history.
