Transfer to Nyerere NP & Sunset Boat Safari

Your safari begins with an 8:00 am pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Dar es Salaam. You’ll enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside as you head toward Nyerere National Park, arriving around midday. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch followed by some time to relax and freshen up. In the late afternoon, embark on a beautiful sunset boat safari along the Great Rufiji River, where you’ll have the chance to spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species while enjoying the stunning colors of the African sunset. After the boat safari, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the wilderness.

Full-Day Game Drive

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your lodge at 7:00 am to begin a full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park. The day will be spent exploring the park’s diverse habitats, from open savannahs to dense woodlands and riverine areas along the Rufiji River. You’ll have the opportunity to see a wide range of wildlife including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, and possibly the rare African wild dogs. Around midday, you’ll stop for a picnic lunch inside the park, surrounded by nature and the sounds of the wild. After lunch, continue your adventure as you explore different parts of the park, capturing more memorable moments and sightings. In the late afternoon, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Maasai Visit and drive back to Dar es salaam

After breakfast, you’ll pack your bags and check out from the lodge to begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam. On the way, you’ll make a stop at a traditional Maasai village where you’ll spend time learning about the Maasai people’s fascinating culture, customs, and way of life. Enjoy their traditional dances, visit their homesteads, and gain insight into their daily routines and rich heritage. After this cultural experience, you’ll continue your scenic drive through the Tanzanian countryside toward Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, you’ll be dropped off at your preferred location your hotel, the airport, or the ferry terminal marking the end of your unforgettable Nyerere National Park safari.
