After breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, meet your driver-guide and begin your scenic journey through the rolling hills of Rwanda, crossing into Uganda via the Cyanika or Katuna border post. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Virunga Volcanoes, terraced farmlands, and local communities along the way.
Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in time for dinner and an evening at leisure, surrounded by the tranquil rainforest sounds.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Return to Kigali

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You’ll then embark on your once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking adventure through the misty forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take 2–6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location, but the magical hour spent in their presence makes it all worthwhile.
After the trek, enjoy lunch and begin your scenic drive back to Kigali, arriving in the evening. Your driver will drop you at your hotel or Kigali International Airport for your onward flight.
