Look no further — this is the ultimate primate safari that truly ticks all the boxes!
5/5

I recently completed a 4‑day primate safari through Uganda and Rwanda, visiting Kibale National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, and Volcanoes National Park, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish.

Blair, the guide, was truly exceptional. From the moment we set off, he made the journey feel personal and engaging. We had many great discussions while driving through the stunning countryside, and his deep knowledge of the region and local culture added so much value to the trip. Blair was also incredibly flexible and happy to tailor any part of the itinerary to specific interests or needs, which made the experience feel perfectly balanced and very well thought out.

The chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park and the encounter with golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park were both amazing experiences. Seeing these primates up close in their natural environment was thrilling and incredibly memorable. That said, the absolute highlight of the entire safari was the gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Being able to visit a mountain gorilla family in its natural habitat was truly breathtaking and a once‑in‑a‑lifetime experience. The quiet moments spent observing these magnificent animals up close is something I will never forget.

Overall, this safari delivered an incredible mix of wildlife, scenery, and meaningful encounters. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, well‑organized, and deeply memorable primate adventure in East Africa — especially with a guide like Blair, who truly elevates the entire journey.

We did a 3-day safari with we tour Africa safaris to see gorillas in Bwindi and golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park. Everything was excellent — the organization was impeccable, and our guide Blair was amazing: very attentive, a great driver, and always willing to help. The gorilla experience was unforgettable, and I definitely recommend we tour africa safaris to anyone who wants to live this adventure.

Solo trip to Uganda and Rwanda
5/5

I went on a solo female safari trip to see the golden monkeys, gorillas, and chimps in Rwanda and Uganda. Blair was a fantastic guide—professional, kind, and incredibly friendly. He was a safe and skilled driver who always knew the best and most efficient routes.

Blair also has a fascinating background in healthcare, public health, and statistics, which led to many engaging conversations. He was very thoughtful—taking me to Ugandan and Rwandan buffets so I could try more local food instead of just the lodge meals, introducing me to fresh sugarcane for the first time, and even getting me charcoal pills when I had stomach issues. He would slow down whenever I wanted to take photos or videos, often without me even needing to ask.

One of the highlights of the trip was visiting his hometown at the end, where I got to try the local beer with his friends and learn more about his life. Thank you for a beautiful safari that was not just about wildlife, but also a deeply enriching and eye-opening cultural experience.
