Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park & Maasai Village Visit (Boma)

You will be picked up early in the morning at around 7:30 Am from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and begin a scenic drive toward Mikumi National Park, a journey of about 5–6 hours through the countryside and local villages. Upon arrival in Mikumi, you’ll check in at your lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, visit a nearby Maasai village where you’ll experience traditional Maasai life, learn about their culture, customs, and daily routines, and enjoy traditional dances. Afterward, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Full-Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

After an early breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive across the open plains of Mikumi. The park is known for its incredible diversity of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, lions, and wildebeests, as well as numerous bird species. You’ll stop for a picnic lunch inside the park while enjoying the natural scenery. In the afternoon, continue exploring more of Mikumi’s landscapes before heading back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Hiking Udzungwa Mountain and Waterfalls

After breakfast, depart for Udzungwa Mountains National Park with your packed lunch about an hour’s drive away. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and begin your hike through the lush forest trails leading to Sanje Waterfalls, one of Tanzania’s most stunning natural wonders. Along the way, spot rare monkeys such as the Iringa red colobus and the Sanje mangabey, and enjoy panoramic views of the valley below. You’ll have time to relax, enjoy lunch, and swim at the waterfalls before descending and returning to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Mikumi to Dar es salaam

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning surrounded by nature before beginning your drive back to Dar es Salaam. You’ll be dropped off at the ferry terminal for your boat to Zanzibar, at the airport for your flight, or at your hotel. There will be a stop for lunch along the way, and you’ll arrive in the late afternoon.
