1-Day Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes N Park

Your day begins bright and early with a 4:30 AM pick-up from your hotel in Kigali by a professional guide from. Enjoy a scenic 2.5 hour drive north through Rwanda’s lush hills to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze.

Upon arrival at the park headquarters in Kinigi, you’ll be registered and assigned a gorilla group. After a briefing by park rangers at 7:00 AM, you'll embark on your gorilla trekking expedition. The hike can range from 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorilla family location, but the reward is unforgettable spending one full hour observing the majestic mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.

After your trek, you will return to Kigali. Arrive in the early evening (around 5–6 PM), where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
