Pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park and Maasai cultural village tour

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar at 5:00 AM, followed by a one-hour drive to the Dar es Salaam ferry terminal for your journey to the mainland. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, you’ll be transferred approximately a 10-minute drive to the train station, where you’ll board a train for a scenic 2-hour ride to Morogoro Msamvu, the closest point to Mikumi National Park.

From Morogoro, enjoy a short 2-hour drive to the park, with a game drive en route to your lodge. Later in the afternoon, around 4:00 PM, experience an unforgettable visit to the Maasai Cultural Village, where you’ll learn about their traditions and way of life as the sun sets. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive exploring Mikumi National Park Tanzania’s fourth-largest park, known for its vast plains and rich wildlife. Keep your eyes open for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and lions roaming freely across the savannah. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your exploration in the afternoon. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Pick up from your hotel in Mikumi Park to Zanzibar

After breakfast at 6:30 AM, you will be transferred from your hotel to Morogoro Msamvu Train Station for your journey to Dar es Salaam, which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to the ferry terminal for your boat to Zanzibar. When you arrive in Zanzibar, our driver will meet you and drop you off at your hotel.
