Arrival in Uganda - Entebbe International Airport

Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, the Company Rep will be waiting to receive you & thereafter transfer you to Airport Link Guest House Entebbe.
There will be a pre-trip briefing for any questions and clarifications about your safari in-order to set off on the right foot.
Dependant on your time of arrival you could opt to go for the afternoon Shoebill sighting in the Mabamba Wetlands or Sunset Cruise on Lake Victoria. Otherwise just relax at the Hotel.

Flight to Kisoro Airstrip and Afternoon Boat trip on Lake Mutanda

Early morning breakfast and check out of the hotel transferring to the Entebbe Airport for your departure flight to Kisoro.
Flight time EBB KIS 07:00 8:15 (Check in 1.5hrs before flight take off.)
On arrival at Kisoro Airstrip where you will be picked up and transferred by road to Mutanda Lake Resort transfer is approx 2hrs.
Relax at the lodge with a warm cup of tea or Uganda coffee.

Afternoon transfer for a boat ride on Lake Mutanda.

Bwindi Gorilla trekking

After very early morning breakfast you will be transferred to the gorilla trekking trail head for briefing by 8am before setting off for the trek. The head rangers will allocate you into a trekking group with other guests before setting off.

En route to the gorillas, your guide will point out signs of previous gorilla activity, including dung, nests and chewed bamboo shoots.
The time taken to track the gorillas can be as few as 2 hours to as many as 7 hours. Once the gorillas have been located, your group will be allowed a maximum of one hour with them. Coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla is a truly humbling and emotional experience. This is a fantastic and privileged opportunity to get up close and personal with Uganda’s very own ‘Gorillas in the Mist’. You will depart the lodge with packed lunch just in-case you stay longer in the forest.
You will return to the lodge for the trek for a hot meal and relax. Dinner and overnight at Mutanda Lake Resort.
