After breakfast, your Wild Odysseys Safaris guide will collect you from your accommodation for the drive to Tarangire National Park, about two and a half hours away on good roads. Named after the Tarangire River, the park is a vital water source for wildlife during the dry season and is famed for its large elephant herds that gather along the riverbanks. As you explore, you may spot giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, and predators like lions and leopards. Tarangire also boasts one of the richest bird diversities in the world, set against a stunning landscape of ancient baobab trees, some over a thousand years old. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic site within the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later, you’ll travel to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay, ready to continue your unforgettable Tanzanian adventure.

After breakfast, your journey takes you into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll pause to admire the spectacular views of the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic landscapes. You’ll then continue through this remarkable region toward the southern plains of Serengeti National Park.

The Serengeti is world-renowned for its endless golden grasslands and unmatched wildlife encounters. It’s home to an incredible diversity of animals and is especially famous for the Great Migration—one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World—as millions of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes traverse the plains in search of water and greener pastures.

Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch en route and end your day with a magical overnight stay in a beautiful lodge or camp, surrounded by the untamed beauty of the Serengeti.
