This day begins with an early morning game drive, the best time to observe Liwonde’s abundant wildlife. You will encounter elephants, antelope, hippos, and birds while experienced guides provide insights into animal behavior and park ecology. This day focuses on birding and river wildlife. In the morning, a professional birder guides the group along the Shire River and surrounding wetlands, helping spot kingfishers, fish eagles, bee-eaters, and other fascinating species. Breakfast at the lodge follows the early morning safari. After breakfast at Kutchire Lodge, check out and begin the transfer back to Lilongwe.
