Tarangire to Western Serengeti NP
After an early morning breakfast, we depart for the Western Serengeti, arriving around midday to early afternoon and continuing with an immersive game drive in one of the most strategic wildlife zones of the entire migration route. This region offers a major advantage between May and July, when thousands of wildebeest and zebras concentrate around the Grumeti River, creating fewer-crowded, high-quality game drives with excellent chances of predator encounters and dramatic river moments. Known as the Heart of the Great Migration’s Drama, the Western Serengeti’s mix of open plains and riverine forests provides unforgettable scenery, while the Grumeti River, home to massive Nile crocodiles, sets the stage for some of nature’s most powerful wildlife interactions, making this area one of the smartest and most rewarding choices for your safari.

The second day, we proceed morning game drive from Western Serengeti. The Western Serengeti is a key advantage during May–July, when the Great Migration concentrates around the Grumeti River. Staying here positions you exactly where the natural action happens, with fewer crowds, better predator sightings, excellent photography, and a higher chance of witnessing rare behaviours such as river crossings and hunts. We then depart to Central Serengeti for dinner and overnight after a beautiful sunset game drive.

Day 4
Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro highlands
Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro highlands
The name Serengeti originates from the Maasai word Siringitu which means endless plains. You will see why the Maasai gave this region this name as the grassland savannah stretches to the horizon in the South and is only interrupted by the so-called kopjes. These kopjes are bizarre rock formations formed by the weathering of granite outcrops. The plains are the perfect hunting grounds for leopards and other big cats. You will have an excellent chance to view these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat through the open roof of the vehicle. In the afternoon, you will have a standard home meal and then, later on, arrive at your destination for the day.
