Day 1

Zanzibar - Southern Serengeti National Park

Zanzibar - Southern Serengeti National Park

You will be picked up from a Zanzibar hotel and transferred to Zanzibar Airport. During the 1.5-hour flight departing from Zanzibar Airport, you will fly over the Indian Ocean, the hinterland of Tanzania, the Ngorongoro Crater Highlands, and the vast expanse of the Serengeti before making your descent to Seronera Airstrip. The views from above are undeniably magnificent. Within half an hour of alighting from the aircraft, you will be in a 4×4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof, ready to take in all that Southern Serengeti has on display for you. Around midday, you will have a picnic stop for lunch and a leg stretch, before continuing your journey. In the late afternoon, you will be driven to Tanzania Bush Camps — Ndutu Mobile Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Ndutu Plains - Ngorongoro Crater

Ndutu Plains - Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast at your camp, you'll drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a wonderful game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is just one of those places that has to be seen — words alone cannot do it justice. Leaving our lodge, you’ll drive down into what was once, many eons ago, the fiery heart of a huge volcano. Today, this natural amphitheatre has a more peaceful atmosphere as Wildebeest, Coke’s Hartebeest, Grant’s and Thomson’s Gazelles, and Common Zebra feed contentedly - or at least as contentedly as the ever-present lions and cheetahs will allow, although the Black Rhinoceros here will be less concerned about these predators. The bird life in the crater varies according to the seasons, but during our visit, you'll see Grey Crowned Crane, Lappet-faced Vulture, Black-bellied and Kori Bustards, Fischer’s Lovebird, and Northern Anteater Chat among many others. Lunch to be saved at the designated picnic site in the Crater. Later, you will drive back to the airport for your flight back to Zanzibar.
