We will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha at 7:30 am for a scenic three-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a full-day game drive, exploring the park’s diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife. Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s hidden gems and a must visit for safari lovers. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen in the hundreds, as well as its ancient baobab trees that create a dramatic landscape unlike anywhere else in Africa. The Tarangire River, the park’s lifeline, draws vast numbers of animals during the dry season, offering incredible game-viewing opportunities. Beyond elephants, you can spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, and an impressive variety of birdlife, making Tarangire a paradise for both wildlife enthusiasts and photographers.

Day 2

Early morning breakfast, after which you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. Explore the crater’s rich ecosystem and enjoy close encounters with the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—as well as other diverse wildlife. Lunch will be served inside the crater, surrounded by stunning scenery. After 6 to 7 hours of immersive game viewing, you will begin the ascent back up the crater rim to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

After breakfast, depart for Lake Natron, leaving the asphalted road just past Mto wa Mbu and continuing along the scenic East African Rift Valley with its adventurous slopes. Along the way, pass traditional Maasai villages and behold Ol Doinyo Lengai, the sacred Maasai volcano. Upon arrival at Ngare Sero, the gateway to Lake Natron, you enter one of Africa’s most extraordinary landscapes. The lake is a breeding haven for about 2.5 million lesser flamingos, whose vibrant presence transforms the waters into a living spectacle. Its highly saline waters support unique algae and bacteria, creating striking red-brown to violet hues, and the surrounding region remains one of Africa’s most unspoiled and breathtaking areas. Explore the lake’s shores and visit nearby waterfalls, a natural oasis ideal for swimming and relaxation. Overnight is at an African Safari Camp at Lake Natron, resting before the midnight ascent of Ol Doinyo Lengai, Africa’s only active volcano.

Day 4

After an exhilarating hike up Ol Doinyo Lengai, descend back to the camp for a hearty breakfast and some well-deserved relaxation. Later, drive to the Mto wambu area to experience a cultural activity, engaging with local communities and learning about their traditions and way of life. Afterward, continue the drive back to Arusha, where the tour concludes with either a drop-off for departure or an overnight stay at a lodge, depending on your travel plans.
Note: if you have the flight this day make sure you book the late evening flight to make sure you have the comfortable safari.
