Please note: As the safari starts at 07h30 on day 1, you will need to pre-night in Maun. Outdoor African Tour Safaris can assist with pre-safari arrangements.
An optional scenic flight over the Delta is available, depending on the arrival time in Maun. If you are interested in participating in this activity, please confirm with your guide upon arrival. This activity will be conducted the day before the trip departs (at the guest's expense).
Your guide will meet you at 07h30 at a pre-arranged meeting point in Maun. From Maun, you will drive to Moremi/Khwai, one of Botswana's best wilderness areas, which encompasses swamp and dryland areas. The next 2 days will be spent searching for the wide variety of wildlife and birds that this area is renowned for, while absorbing the sounds and beauty of this region. Game drives in the early morning, as the sun rises, and in the late afternoon, as the sun sets, will be the norm.

Day 2

Go on game drives to explore the region surrounding the Khwai River (North-east Moremi / Khwai Concession). A mokoro excursion (dug-out canoe) will take you along a tributary of the Khwai River to view game from another perspective and to experience this tranquil mode of transport.

Day 3
Savuti
Savuti
Chobe National Park, with its diverse and striking landscapes, will be your next destination. As you continue your search for wildlife, you will traverse the drier region of Savuti, where bull elephants dot the plains. Savuti is very well known for its predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah and even African wild dog. Camping will be in a private designated campsite.

Go on more game drives to explore this wonderful floodplains and landscape drives to explore Savuti, the predator capital, and have a chance to see a pride of lions, leopards, cheetah, and a pack of wild dogs. It will depend on what nature has to offer us today.

Day 5

Today, you will head northwards to the Chobe River, where your game drives will meander along the banks of the river, followed by the call of the majestic African fish eagle. The Chobe River Floodplain is an amazing game-viewing area where water attracts large herds of buffalo, elephant, zebra and other herbivores. Due to the proliferation of prey, predators are likely to be close at hand. Sunsets in this region are always spectacular and allow amazing photographic opportunities.

Day 6

Chobe National Park
Embark on morning and afternoon game drives to see the park’s wildlife. This day will allow you to see more game in the Chobe area.
You will also have the opportunity for bird watching. The park is a premier destination for birding, with over 460 species recorded, especially during the rainy season when migratory birds are present.
Chobe National Park offers excellent opportunities for wildlife and landscape photography. There will be plenty of photographic opportunities for capturing unique shots.

Day 7
Kasane
Kasane
The safari officially ends at 12h00 on day 7 in Kasane after a cruise on the Chobe River. This experience allows you to get a closer look at the aquatic animals and birds not easily approached on safari. Lunch will be available at your own cost once back in Kasane. Drop off will be available for guests going to Kasane Airport or the surrounding lodges. If you are travelling to Livingstone or Victoria Falls, your transfer pick-up can be arranged from 12h15 at your own expense.
