Your safari begins early in the morning with pick-up from your Arusha hotel. After a short briefing by your guide, drive southwest toward Tarangire National Park, known for its dramatic scenery, iconic baobab trees, and impressive herds of elephants. Enter the park for a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch inside the park. Spot elephants bathing in the Tarangire River, prides of lions lounging in the shade, and graceful giraffes browsing among the acacias. The park is also home to over 400 bird species, making it a bird lover’s paradise. In the late afternoon, exit the park and drive to Karatu, a charming town nestled in the green hills near the Ngorongoro Highlands. Arrive in time for dinner and a relaxed evening at your lodge.

Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife sanctuaries. Spend the day exploring the crater floor, where you can spot all members of the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the endangered black rhino — as well as hippos, zebras, flamingos, and countless gazelles. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool before ascending back to the crater rim and continuing to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Here, your Kenyan guide will meet you and continue the journey to Amboseli National Park. Enjoy dinner and unwind at your lodge as the sounds of the African night fill the air.
