After breakfast, drive to the iconic Ngorongoro Crater and descend nearly 600 meters into one of the most extraordinary wildlife sanctuaries on the planet. The crater’s permanent water sources and lush grasslands attract an incredible concentration of animals, including wildebeest, zebras, buffalos, hippos, warthogs, elephants, and an impressive range of predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the rarely seen leopard.
Continue to the scenic Lake Magadi, a shimmering alkaline lake where flamingos, hippos, and a variety of water birds gather in large numbers. Enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch at the Engutoku tok hippo pool site, surrounded by beautiful views and wildlife activity.
