After breakfast, head to Lake Natron and hike to the Ngare Sero Waterfalls along the western edge of the lake. Pass narrow gorges and lush palms, then cool off swimming in the natural slot canyons. This morning, join a Maasai guide for a Flamingo Walk along the lake’s shores, where endangered lesser flamingos gather in their thousands, painting the alkaline waters pink. Visit the Engaresero Footprint Site, where over 400 ancient tracks tell the story of early humans. Enjoy lunch before heading to Mto wa Mbu, a lively town at the entrance of Lake Manyara.
