Today you will enjoy one of the island’s highlight attractions – Prison Island Tour – a fantastic half-day boat excursion from Stone Town, combining wildlife encounters with fascinating history and beautiful scenery, with the main highlight being the chance to see the famous Aldabra Giant Tortoises.
In the evening, visit the nearby Forodhani Gardens for a memorable, authentic local encounter and experience its open-air food market.
Stone Town or Mji Mkongwe in Swahili, meaning “ancient town,” is the capital and cultural heart of Zanzibar, where little has changed in the last 200 years, and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Enjoy a walking tour of Stone Town - visiting historical sites, the bustling market, while passing the narrow streets with fascinating architecture, with curved Zanzibar doors and bustling bazaars. Shopping is a highlight of the tour – from clothes, carvings, paintings, to expensive jewelry.
Experience a guided walk through a spice plantation – to touch the barks, roots, vines, and creepers crawling up the trees, smell and taste the crushed leaves, while trying to guess the spice and learning about medicinal properties. Depending on the season you are visiting, you can find anything from vanilla, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, turmeric, lemon grass, cloves, ginger, coriander, pepper, allspice, chili, curry leaves, and more! Seasonal tropical fruits are also to be found on the farm – banana, pineapple, jackfruit, custard fruit, oranges, star fruit, tangerine, passion fruit, mango, avocado, rambutan, papaya, and many others.

Visit Jambiani Village on the southeast coast for a guided walking tour that will take you through the streets of this cozy, laid-back, authentic, and friendly village to experience the real life of the locals. Experience the social life and daily activities, and especially the inspiring role of the woman in daily life among the villagers, culture and religion, as well as the positive contributions of tourism to the local socio-economy. Learn the coconut fibre rope-making skills and the seaweed farming, whose many farms dot the coastline and employ over 15,000 locals, mainly women, with Zanzibar producing around 11,000 tons of the global seaweed each year, a large amount of this coming from Jambiani village. Your tour ends with the experience of a truly authentic taste of the local Zanzibar cuisine in the home of one of the locals.

Michamvi is a peninsula and is divided into two main sections – the more secluded Michamvi Kae and the slightly more developed Michamvi Pingwe, also home to the iconic Rock Restaurant. Not a party destination.
Today you will enjoy a leisurely day at the resort’s fully equipped gym, relaxing by the swimming pool, or on the beach.
You could also choose (at extra cost) some of the other top activities – snorkeling and scuba diving at Blue Lagoon; long, wild beaches perfect for walks at low tide to explore the exposed sand flats and tidal pools teeming with starfish, crabs, and other marine life; and dhow boat trips. There are limited shops, a few beachfront restaurants.

Michamvi Beach is also home to The Rock Restaurant – a must-visit place in Zanzibar – described as “world-famous, known for its iconic location, fabulous food, as fresh as possible from the ocean and the farms, and character. Inspired by natural resources, a strong twist of Zanzibar, and mountains of Italian love – an experience for all your senses – is a restaurant on a rock in the ocean”, which rises a short distance from the shore of the beautiful Michamvi Pingwe Beach on Zanzibar’s east coast. The restaurant is reached off the beach on foot at low tide or by boat at high tide, and guests can, if they wish, wade out. Today, you could also choose (at extra cost) to enjoy a special lunch at The Rock Restaurant as an icing to your blissful Zanzibar island holiday.

Depart on the scheduled flight to Arusha.
Meet & Greet at Arusha Airport [ARK] by your guide and start your safari with a drive to Mto wa Mbu village – a unique town in Tanzania since it is home to the country’s 120 indigenous tribal groups. Experience the village life while riding an open-sided 3-wheel Tuk Tuk with a local guide. Included in this tour is a local Swahili lunch served in the middle of the village.
In the afternoon, continue to Karatu – a colorful town on the Ngorongoro Highlands located between Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater, and whose fertile highlands are ideal for coffee growing. At the Farm House Valley – a comfortable farm-style retreat situated on a 500-acre working coffee plantation, you can enjoy a short evening guided walk around the farm and the vegetable garden, providing an opportunity to see how an organic farm works. Today, you will start early, heading to the Serengeti National Park. En route, you will experience wildlife viewing.

The standard menu comprises a welcome refreshment, a delicious three-course meal, and includes soft drinks and water. In the afternoon, experience further wildlife viewing, before finally heading to your camp to freshen up, savor cool sundowner cocktails by the campfire, and a star-lit dinner, followed by your first night spent under canvas – in true 1920s “Out of Africa” safari style.

Visit the Seronera Visitor Centre, where illustrations include an elevated walkway built around a cluster of rocks and trees that detail the wildebeest migration. Each point on the walkway represents a different stage in the migration
Depending on the season of your travel on this safari, you will make a brief detour to either the Serengeti Moru Kopjes (June to November) in the Southwestern part of the Central Serengeti, known for the Gong Rock paintings and which also serves as a critical habitat for the highly endangered black rhino; or Serengeti Gol Kopjes (December to May) in Eastern Serengeti – often described as looking like a “Japanese rock garden”, and is known as “Cheetah Capital” as it boasts the highest concentration of cheetahs in Africa

Another early rise to descend 2000 feet below into the wildlife-filled floor of the Ngorongoro Crater for half a day of wildlife viewing.
This UNESCO-listed crater is said to be the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Visitors can look forward to spotting the world-renowned Big Five and a host of other wildlife species, including large herds of zebra and wildebeest, as well as the rare and endangered black rhino.
Continue to Tarangire National Park for overnight.
