After breakfast at Elephant Sands Lodge, depart for Gweta, a journey of approximately 100 km along the A3 road. The drive takes you through open savannah landscapes dotted with acacia trees and occasional wildlife sightings.

As you approach Gweta, the scenery becomes flatter and more expansive, signaling your proximity to the great salt pans. Gweta is a small, laid-back village often referred to as the gateway to the Makgadikgadi Pans.
