After reaching Entebbe International Airport, you will met your driver-guide from Giant Holiday Safaris and transferred to ViaVia Entebbe Guesthouse. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at the guesthouse or take a short walk around the nearby areas. For those interested, an optional excursion to Mabamba Swamp allows for a chance to spot the rare shoebill stork in its natural habitat. In the evening, enjoy dinner at the guesthouse and settle in for an overnight stay in preparation for the adventure ahead.

Day 2

Upon arrival in the afternoon, check in at Kibale Forest Lodge, your comfortable base next to the forest. Enjoy lunch and spend the rest of the day relaxing amid the sounds of the tropical forest, watching for birds and small primates. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3

Chimpanzee Trekking

Chimpanzee Trekking

Start the day early at the park office before heading into the forest for chimpanzee tracking. Wander along forest trails, listening for the distinctive calls of the chimps, and spend up to an hour observing their playful interactions. After returning to the lodge for lunch, take a guided walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, home to colorful birds, butterflies, and vibrant plant life, with opportunities to learn about local community initiatives. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

The journey passes crater lakes, terraced farmland, and dense forests, providing plenty of photo opportunities. Arrive at Rushaga Gorilla Lodge, set at the forest’s edge, where you can relax and enjoy views of the surrounding hills. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Spend up to one hour observing these magnificent animals in their natural habitat. After the trek, collect your trekking certificate and continue to Lake Bunyonyi, known for its calm waters and numerous islands. Enjoy a canoe ride exploring the lake before checking in at Bunyonyi Overland Resort for dinner and an overnight stay.
